Best Bar: BJ's Brewpub
Surprised? Maybe you shouldn't be. BJ's may not be the place
to go to get your drink on late at night or go dancing, but
it's a great place to meet up after work. The food is
excellent, the happy hour is packed, and the beer is
awesome! Next time you want to grab a beer and some wings,
hit BJ's.

Bar Food: BJ's Brewpub
This one wasn't even close this year. Hot wings, wraps, and all
sorts of yummy snacks to compliment your beer. BJ's and happy
hour just go together. Does a pizzookie count for bar food?
...Why not?

Best "Under 21" Spot:
Folsom Lake Bowl
When it's not Thursday Night in the summer (Thursday
Night Market), you may find your kids over here, for glow
bowling, or just playing video games. Though the place may be
showing its age, it has no shortage of customers, always a good
sign.

Best Place
to Be Seen: Concerts in the Park
It's funny, many newcomers to Concert in the Park are a little
upset that the concerts have been moved to Rodeo Park... in
fact, 2007 marks the return to its original location after a
2-year absence, due to Library construction. It's almost
guaranteed that you'll bump in to a friend or neighbor here on
Friday nights - a great place to pack up a picnic and bring the
family.

Tourist Destination: Sutter Street
Taking any out-of-towners to check out Folsom? Hit Sutter Street
first. There are not too many gold rush-era towns still standing
anymore, and Sutter Street is literally a piece of American
history. We may take it for granted, but Sutter Street is very
much the heart and soul of the great Gold Rush.

Folsom Event: Folsom Live!
Folsom Live has become the "must" event in town, as long as you
are 21. There are so many bands playing here you'll have a hard
time seeing them all, and you'll see everyone who's anyone at
this event. Dress to impress, and get ready to rock!

Summer Activity:
Biking Folsom's Trails
Ask any biker where the best trails are in the Sacramento area,
and they will undoubtedly say Folsom. There are tons of them,
from Folsom Lake, Lake Natoma, and the Willow Creek area. Folsom
has won awards (including Best of Folsom) for their trial
system, and for good reasons.

Community Park: Folsom City Lions Park
Now that the library is open, this park is better than ever.
This park has so many names - the "chicken park", Rodeo Park,
Zoo Park, or "The one with the gazebo". Either way, your kids
will love it, with a library, zoo, and huge park - something for
everyone.
