It's our 7th annual "Best of Folsom" campaign. It wasn't very
long ago that we started out to give our nod of approval to the
best places in town. Seven years later and thousands of votes
cast, the contest is as popular as ever! Some of this year's
highlights:
You waited, you responded:
It's official... In-N-Out Burger is a hit! The Southern
California fast food chain has been a winner ever since setting
up shop in Folsom. They won 3 Best of Folsom awards - Best
Fries, Burgers, and Best New Business.
New categories: Some new
categories this year - Best Vegetarian Food (Mylapore gets the
nod), and Best Date Spot (Bidwell Street Bistro). This will be
the last year for a few categories as we make room for some new
ones next year.
Landslide: We have a new
mechanism this year - the "landslide" victory. For the races
that weren't even close, we figured to designate them as
"landslide" victors in a category... these winners - you more
or less can't go wrong. (These are the selections in orange)
Three's Company: Bidwell
Street Bistro and In-N-Out were the biggest winners this year,
as the victors of 3 such awards.
Best New Road: A couple
people nominated Folsom Lake Crossing as the best new road.
