Folsom Police Chief Sam Spiegel has been named interim Assistant City Manager, a position left vacant since the departure of Wil Kempton. Spegel's duties are primarily traffic management, and lobbying new bridge issues. Press Release * Bee article
If given sufficient security to the Folsom Dam, the US Bureau of Reclamation may open up the Folsom Dam Road during peak commute hours. Police Chief Sam Spiegel is already designing a security plan with local and federal law enforcement in hopes of opening the road.
