Lexington Hills was
one of the fastest growing areas of Folsom in the late 1980's and
early 1990's. Several builders built good to very good quality
production and custom homes, some of which are on view lots. This
area is east of Oak A venue
Parkway and south of Blue Ravine Road. Currently most homes in this
area sell from the mid $300,000's to the mid $600,000's.
The Parkway, just north of Lexington Hills, was developed along
Humbug Creek starting in the late 1990's. Homes in the area are good
quality production homes built by several builders. Homes in this
area of the Parkway currently
sell in the range of the low $400,000's to the mid $500,000's.
The theme of this area is nature and conservation and the walking
and bike trails along the creek are its centerpiece. Construction
began recently further to the east. These newer homes are selling in
the mid $600,000s to high $700,000s.+
Both Lexington Hills and The Parkway have several parks, greenbelts,
and wetland areas. There are miles of walking and bike trails in the
area. The area is only about a mile to the Folsom Point access to
Folsom Lake. Mercy Hospital, which is a large employer in Folsom, is
located to the west of Lexington Hills. A new apartment complex is
being built east of Oak Avenue Parkway near the hospital. There is
an elementary school in the area and Folsom Lake Center (community
college) is just to the south and is currently undergoing an
expansion.
