Folsom
in the summertime is defined by three events: the
Folsom Rodeo, Friday Night Concerts
in the Park, and Thursday Night Market. Thursday Night Market is a
very popular event that lasts around 3 months, every Thursday Night
on Sutter Street.
The historic Sutter Street area is
transformed in to an area with food vendors, craft and exhibitor
booths, kids areas, farmers market tents, and usually a band playing
a free concert for the market-goers. The event itself usually gets
going around 6 pm and lasts until around 9 pm. Those still around at
the end of the event usually make their ways to the various
bars on Sutter Street.
"TNM" is a very popular event with all age ranges, from teens to
families. Families can go because it's a great way to get out of the
house for free (and usually bump in to some neighbors or friends),
and for teens are always hanging out in the area for some free fun.
Needless to say, it's quite a popular event. Great food, great
people, it's a lot of fun!
